The influence of alkaline activator on immobilization of metals in alkali-activated blast furnace slag

Abstract In this work the influence of alkaline activator on immobilization lead and copper in alkali-activated blast furnace slag was investigated. A total five alkali activators were used; sodium waterglass, potassium hydroxide, hydroxide carbonate. The leaching test according to ?SN EN 12457°-4 used evaluate level heavy metals, leached solutions analyzed by ICP-OES. For a better understanding process, selected samples characterized analytical methods (SEM, XPS). It found that degree Pb 2+ Cu AAS very high regardless type used. is caused formation insoluble or poorly soluble compounds an environment while have been confirmed SEM XPS.
